HEBRON HUNTING CLUB

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2009

The following rules and regulations represent the minimum regulation needed to achieve the intent of the Hebron Hunting Club. Violation of any Club rules may result suspension of membership privileges.

* Members must at all times be aware of their own safety and that of those around them, seen and unseen. All State and Federal Laws, PA Game Laws and common standards of hunter, firearm and vehicle safety must be adheared to at all times. No road hunting or shooting at game when less than 25 yards from your vehicle.

* Absolutely no loaning of membership cards. Member must be paid in full and have signed all required releases for current year before entering Club property, and show upon request of any Club manager,member, landowner representative or law enforcement officer. Members are expected to check strangers for membership verification and to order any non member or unauthorized guest to immediately leave the Club property. Exception- non- members may enter the Club property to retrieve lawfully killed or wounded game that enters the Club property after being wounded.

* All Club Gates must be kept locked at all times following entry or exit. (Exception- during timber sale or harvest periods when left open by foresters or loggers). Always remember to scramble the combination on combinatiom locks. Lock combination should not be divulged to non-members.

* All members must return to the Manager an accurately completed Use and Harvest Survey, as provided by the Manager, by January 15 of each year and Manager must notify leaser of kill by Febuary 1.

* Members must not interfere with the Manager, Landowner, Foresters, Loggers, Biologists or their agents who may be on the property in the performance of their duties.

* Cutting of standing trees (dead or alive) and logging slash is strickly prohibited. With the exception of small amounts of edible plants (blackberries, leeks), firewood or legally harvested game, no plants, animals or minerals may be removed from the Club property.

* Treestands and ground blinds, portable and semi permanent, are permitted providing they do not damage trees. Driving nails or screws into any tree is strickly prohibited. if you bring it in, take it out. Leave stands unattended at your own risks. Stands must be removed from timber harvesting areas.

Littering and dumping of trash is strickly prohibited. If you bring it in, take it out

CURRENT SUGGESTED VOLUNTARY RESTRICTIONS:  Members are asked  to refrain from attempting to harvest any small deer (fawn) and bear cubs. Only one antlerless deer is premitted.

Members are expeted to learn to identify restricted animals in the field, on the hoof and are to refrain from attempting to harvest any animals that are in doubt.

VEHICLE AND ROAD RESTRICTIONS:  The Club contains miles of logging roads, some may be planted as wildlife food plots. It is the intent of these regulations to minimize: hunter/ vehicle interferance, wildlife disturbance, food plot damage/ disturbance and road degradation. Vehicle: In general, any vehicle that is licenced for highway use or registered for off-road use and is not excessively noisy is permitted on Club roads. Four wheel drive is recommended most times and is required (or chains) in very wet, snowy or icy conditions. Prohibited vehicles Unlicensed or unregistered vehicles, trail bike type motorcycle, excessively noisy vehicles; vehicles that may cause damage to Club roads. No vehicle, regardless of it's design or purpose may be operated off the established roads and trails. Snowmobile trail is available for use by the general public after the general Flintlock Deer Season through March.

Speed:  At times, vehicles driving on the Club must be operated at a safe and reasonable speed. Racing, reckless driving and chasing wildlife is strickly prohibited. The primary use for Club land is hunting, scounting for hunting, wildlife observation and peaceful recreation and all vehicles must be used accordingly.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS: The following road restrictions must be obeyed at all times. Road status is subject to change at any time through notice in the Club  newsletter, website, or posting of roads or gates.

* Any time a road is in a fragile condition, such as being excessively wet and / or soft, in that driving on it would cause excessive rutting or other damage, it is off limits to vehicle use. This applies to any road, regardless of its status as follows.

EXCEPTIONS TO ABOVE:  In any emergancy or when necessary to retrieve large game or equipment such as tree stands, etc. ON HIGH USE HUNTING DAYS. Serious Game Law Violations will result in immediate expulsion. In the event of suspension or expulsion any dues paid will be forfeited. Members are financially responsible for any loss or damage caused by them.
